Just after 10 p.m. on July 8, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 6600 block of Crain Highway in La Plata for the report of an armed robbery at a gas station.
Investigation revealed that two suspects entered the business, approached a clerk, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled on foot. Although the suspects escaped, a Charles County K-9 officer and his K-9 partner, Erno, tracked the area and recovered some of the stolen money.
The suspects are described as white males in their late teens or early twenties. They were wearing masks, tee shirts and shorts. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective G. Higgs at (301) 609-6498.
