SOUTHERN MARYLAND — After a week full of colorful flowers, community sharing and hundreds of reactions across social media, The BayNet’s “Beautiful Blooms” Photo Contest officially has a winner.
Congratulations to Katie Sullivan with this stunning hibiscus photo that captured the community’s attention across Southern Maryland. Sullivan received the most reactions in the “Good Vibes Only – The BayNet” Facebook group and will take home a $100 gift card sponsored by Sneade’s Ace Home Center. The contest, held May 8–15, invited Southern Maryland residents to share photos of flowers blooming in their yards, gardens, porches, flower beds and favorite local spots. Entries poured in from across the region, highlighting everything from bright spring tulips and hanging baskets to backyard gardens and colorful landscaping displays.
Coming in not too far behind was second-place winner Susan Boswell, whose beautiful “Peony & Alliums” photo also earned support and reactions from the community throughout the contest.
The BayNet launched the contest as part of its “Good Vibes Only” Facebook group, which focuses on uplifting stories, positive community moments and local photos that make people smile.
The “Good Vibes Only” group is a place where community can share positive local stories, photos, milestones and acts of kindness happening across Southern Maryland. Some community-submitted posts may even be featured in future Good Vibes articles on The BayNet, helping spread more positive stories throughout the region.
