UPDATE: Victims Identified In Deadly Charles County Fire

FAULKNER, Md. – Two people have been confirmed dead following a devastating house fire Thursday morning in Faulkner.

The fire, located in the 9600 block of Brunswick Road, was dispatched just after 6:13 a.m. on April 17, 2025. Emergency crews arriving on scene found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames and began master stream operations. Severe hoarding conditions inside the residence made firefighting efforts more difficult.

Initial 911 calls indicated the fire had started on the second floor, and at least two individuals were reported unaccounted for. Crews searched the structure while battling heavy fire conditions. Authorities later confirmed that both individuals perished in the blaze.

Tanker shuttle operations were established to support the firefight, with Bel Alton School serving as the primary water supply point. More than a dozen units from across Southern Maryland and nearby jurisdictions responded to the scene.
