WALDORF, Md. — Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon following a crash at Old Washington Road and Leonardtown Road in Waldorf that left one driver initially trapped inside a vehicle.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 4:50 p.m. Aug. 13 for a motor vehicle collision with possible entrapment.

The crash involved a white GMC and another vehicle. Initial information indicated one of the vehicles had been T-boned.

Firefighters arriving at the scene reported one person trapped in the driver’s seat. Crews worked to free the occupant, and the patient was removed from the vehicle shortly after 5 p.m. and evaluated by EMS.

Two patients were transported by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center.

One patient was evaluated for head and neck pain, while another was also transported with injuries following the crash. Both transports were listed as non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
