UPDATE Feb. 7 – According to eyewitness accounts of the accident, the Honda was already involved prior to the Dodge Magnum entering the scene and colliding with the two vehicles. The original TBN report mentioned an infant in the Jeep SUV, however this same eyewitnesss stated that he infant was in the Dodge. UPDATE as of 11:20 a.m.:ย ย At 9:51 a.m. on Feb. 6, Rescue Crews from Bay District and Lexington Park responded to a motor vehicle accident with people trapped on Chancellors Run Road at Horsehead Road in California.
Upon arrival, rescue crews had a crash involving three vehicles, two of which were on top of each other. Investigation revealed a Dodge Magnum struck a Honda Civic, which pushed the Honda underneath a Jeep SUV. A woman became trapped in the SUV on top of the Honda.ย The woman wasย removed from the vehicle after a 20 minute extrication and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.ย The driver of the Honda was extricated through the window with the help of firefighters, he was not injured and signed a treatment refusal. A second patient in the SUV, an infant, was also transported to St. Mary’s to be checked out.
Chancellors Run Road was shut down in the area of Chancellors Run Regional Parkย for 45 minutes. A crane was used by the construction crews on site to remove the two vehicles after the patients had been extricated.
No word if any charges have been made. The crash remains under investigation.
Rescue Units from Bay District and Second District are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with people trapped near the entrance to Chancellors Run Regional Park on Chancellors Run Road near Horsehead Road. The accident happened around 9:50 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6.
Initial reports an SUV is on top of another vehicle with a person(s) pinned inside the car beneath the SUV.
