At 12:05 a.m. May 13, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a parking lot in the 2400 block of Lake Drive in Waldorf for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old Waldorf man was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by a male brandishing a handgun.
The suspect opened the victim’s vehicle door and ordered him not to move. The victim placed the car in gear, pulled away and the suspect shot the victim in the arm with what is believed to be a BB gun.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle. He is described as a black male with bushy hair. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 35 years old and was wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt.
The suspect vehicle is described as a cream colored vehicle, possibly a Lincoln with a vinyl top.
The victim was treated for minor injury.
