
CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — A vehicle found in the water at Allens Fresh Run on Wednesday evening prompted a response from emergency crews and dive team personnel in Charlotte Hall.
The incident was reported around 6:10 p.m. on June 10, 2026, off Route 234 in the area of Allens Fresh.
A member of the Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department spotted the vehicle in the water off the roadway and immediately contacted emergency communications.
The vehicle was described as an orange Jeep in the water near the bridge. It appeared to be unoccupied when it was first found.
Crews responded to the area and began working to determine whether anyone had been inside the vehicle or was otherwise connected to it. The Jeep was found in park as personnel worked to identify the vehicle.
The driver was later located walking on Penns Hill Road.
Emergency units remained in the area Wednesday evening as the investigation continued.
No injuries were immediately reported.
