The Dee of St. Mary’s, built in 1979, is one of the last skipjacks ever built on the Chesapeake Bay. The Dee was used originally in the commercial oyster fishery and then as a floating classroom starting in 1989 when the oyster population dwindled. The Museum took ownership in May 2013 and is pleased to offer public sails, educational opportunities, as well as private charters.
