The following are arrests made by the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office on the weekend of Oct. 6-8.

Emily Louise Gilner, 24 of Scotland, was arrested by Deputy Patrick Handy on a Fugitive Warrant through the State of Nevada. The warrant was for a pending fraud case. Suspect Gilner will have an extradition hearing in the District Court.

Tiffany Sue Malette, 30 of Hollywood, was charged on a Criminal Summons for passing a bad check. The check was valued at $121.73. Deputy Sarah Lacey completed the charging documents.

Kevin James Nesmith, 48 of Great Mills was arrested by Deputy Brian Connelly for Assault Second Degree. The assault was related to physical contact the suspect had with his live-in girlfriend.

Bobby Devin Penkert, 31 of Abell, was charged on a Criminal Summons for Shooting within Safety Zones-150 yards. This was based on an investigation that was conducted by Deputy Elizabeth Trossbach.

Brandon Leonard Young, 20 of no fixed address, was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for trespassing. Once the arrest was made, a computer check revealed an open warrant for Young through the Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

Patrick Darnell Dyson II, 23 of Lexington Park, was arrested by Deputy Earl Young on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear.

Arlon Charles Menchion, 43 of no fixed address, was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Earl Young for Theft under $100.00. Menchion stole a cellular phone belonging to Sherrie Briscoe.

Tracy Marie Hoffman, 34 of Mechanicsville, was charged on a Criminal Summons for passing a bad check. The value of the check was $50.56. The charging Officer was Deputy Anthony Whipkey.

James Robert Long Jr., 23 of Mechanicsville, was charged on a Criminal Summons for Burglary 3rd Degree. The Suspect stolen items from a Hollywood home. The investigation and charges were conducted by Deputy David Cowan.

Phillip Randolph Adams, 27 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Deputy Jason Graves for Escape Second Degree. Adams was sentenced to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and failed to return from Work Release.

Joseph William Butler, 40, was charged on a Criminal Summons for possession of crack cocaine and related paraphernalia. The investigation and charges were completed by Deputy Shawn Cathcart.

Deputy Zorana Sipos arrested Damian Demark Weems, 33 of Mechanicsville, for Assault Second Degree when he allegedly attempted to strangle his wife, leaving visibly signs of injury.

Charles Nathaniel Dickerson, 44 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Deputy Zorana Sipos for an outstanding warrant through the Circuit Court of St. Maryโ€™s County. The warrant was related to a Body Attachment for Failure to Pay Child Support.

Melvin Eugene Barber, 45 of Waldorf, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The warrant was for Failure to Appear and the arresting Officer was Deputy Jason Maletto.

John Terrell McCloud, 23 of Lexington Park, was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear. The Arresting Officer was Deputy Patrick Handy.
