motor vehicle accident in southern maryland

WALDORF, Md. — A woman was hospitalized Monday morning, June 16, 2025, after a two-vehicle crash at Crain Highway and Pembrooke Square in Waldorf.

The crash was reported shortly after 11 a.m., when a caller reported she was unable to get out of her vehicle. Emergency personnel responded and performed a door pop to assist her exit — she was not physically trapped, officials confirmed.

The woman, who sustained left-side pain and bleeding, was stabilized with a backboard and cervical collar and transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries

While responding to the scene, fire truck RE12 was involved in a minor crash near St. Patrick’s Drive. No injuries were reported from that secondary incident, but units were briefly redirected as a result.

The cause of the original crash remains under investigation.
