The Charles County Sheriff’s Office arrested two intoxicated drivers, Gary Victor Warner, 36, of Bryans Road and James Patrick Carroll, 43, of Jessup, during a sobriety checkpoint conducted July 28.
Thirteen officers participated in the checkpoint and 1,375 vehicles passed through it. One driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.
The Maryland State Police assisted during the checkpoint by providing a trooper to administer breath tests to the two intoxicated drivers. The Bryans Road Pizza Hut provided some much needed and greatly appreciated sustenance – pizza and sodas – to the officers conducting the checkpoint.
