At 8:26 p.m. on Dec. 10, Officer D. Gross was conducting a holiday patrol when he observed a vehicle in a dark area behind Shoppers Food Warehouse at 1170 Smallwood Drive Westin Waldorf.
Officer Gross approached the vehicle and smelled an odor of marijuana. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested. He was identified as Eldridge Watson Paige Jr., 41, of Fort Washington. A search of the vehicle yielded marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Paige was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
