NEWBURG, Md. – An early Saturday morning fire in Newburg left a mobile home in ruins.ย
A call reporting a trailer fire on Mary Barnes Place came into Charles County 911 just after 4 a.m., on Saturday morning.ย

Nearly 50 first responders from four fire departments rushed to the scene. The home was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.ย

Tankers were used to bring water from Piccowaxen School to the scene of the fire. It took 35 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No one was reported injured. Mutual aid was offered byย King George, St. Mary’s, and Dahlgren NDW.
