ANNAPOLIS, Md. — An elderly woman was robbed at gunpoint in a Bank of America parking lot on March 1, 2024, according to Annapolis police.
The incident occurred around 12:05 p.m. at 2200 Forest Drive. The 80-year-old victim was leaving the bank with an envelope when she was approached by two male suspects. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded her money. The woman complied, and the suspects fled in a black Jeep SUV. She was not injured.
The suspects are described as two thin black males. One is approximately 6’2″ tall and was wearing all-black clothing. The other is around 5’9″ tall and was also dressed in all-black clothing.

Detectives are considering the possibility that the incident is related to a similar robbery at the same location on February 23, 2024 (Case # 24-706467). In that case, a 23-year-old man was robbed as he returned to his car after withdrawing money from the bank.
The suspect, described as a 6’0” skinny black male wearing all-black clothing, a dark-colored knit cap, and a black ski mask, fled towards Riva Road in a blue, 4-door Lexus. No injuries were reported in the February incident.

Good for you, 73 year old! Concealed carry of firearms, by trained people, will cut down on crime once the word spreads amongst criminals. It always drops the crime rate. But just to protect property, never draw on a drawn gun. To prevent a kidnapping, that’s a different story.
