Yesterday, October 3rd at 1:41 p.m. a 92 year old man from Waldorf died in a fatal car accident.
Ernest Franklin Riley was traveling northbound on MD Rt. 5, south of Post Office Road in a 1994 Plymouth Voyager. Mr. Riley lost control of his vehicle, crossed the southbound lanes of MD Rt. 5, struck a curb and subsequently struck a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe being operated by Marie Annette Rimm, 46 years, of Waldorf.
Mr. Riley received incapacitating injuries and was flown to Prince George’s Hospital by U.S. Park Police helicopter, where he died. Ms. Rimm received non life threatening injuries and was transported to Southern Maryland Hospital by ambulance.
