VALLEY LEE, Md. – The sound of sleigh bells will soon echo through the Social Hall of the 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, but this time, Santa’s trading reindeer for a fire truck. On Sunday, Dec. 8, the community is invited to gather for the highly anticipated “Breakfast with Santa” event, promising festive fun, delicious eats, and a chance for children to share their holiday wishes directly with Saint Nick himself.
From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Social Hall at 45245 Drayden Rd. will transform into a holiday haven complete with an all-you-can-eat homemade breakfast served family style. Whether you’re craving crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, or creamy chipped beef, there’s something for every appetite on the generous menu. Beverages like coffee, milk, and assorted juices will keep guests refreshed throughout the morning.
Santa’s arrival is always the star of the show. True to tradition, the big man in red will roll in with a grand entrance atop a gleaming fire truck. Children are encouraged to bring their Christmas lists for a personal chat with Santa, ensuring their holiday wishes are heard loud and clear.
Admission prices are festive-budget friendly:
- Adults: $13
- Kids (6-12): $6
- Children 5 and under: Free
Every forkful of scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, and spiced applesauce supports a great cause. Proceeds benefit the dedicated members of the 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, with the meal proudly prepared by the department’s Auxiliary.
Whether you’re a longtime attendee or a first-timer, this beloved community gathering is sure to fill your heart (and plate) with holiday cheer. Mark your calendar, and don’t miss this chance to kick off the season in a truly memorable way.
