
SOLOMONS, Md. — Two people were injured Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash caused an SUV to overturn along Solomons Island Road in Solomons.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 11:38 a.m. on March 10, 2026, to the 14350 block of Solomons Island Road near CD Café for a reported serious traffic collision.
Initial reports indicated a white Ford Explorer struck another vehicle before overturning in the roadway.
When first responders arrived, they found the SUV overturned and began assisting the occupants. Early reports indicated two people were initially believed to be trapped or pinned, prompting a large response from fire and EMS units.
Two occupants sustained injuries and were treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene. Following evaluation, both patients were transported by ground to UM Capitol Region Medical Center.
Traffic along Solomons Island Road was temporarily impacted while emergency crews worked to stabilize the scene and remove the overturned vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
