CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — The Beaches’ community theater, Twin Beach Players, is holding auditions to find the next group of talented local performers to be in its production of “Peter Pan and Wendy.”
In a Facebook post, the group called for performers of all ages for a “theatrical adventure filled with imagination, witty humor, wonder, pirates, mermaids, and the bittersweet magic of growing up.” The group welcomes longtime performers, first-timers, returning theater artists and anyone interested in participating.
The auditions will be held June 6 and 7, with callbacks on June 8 at the North Beach Boys and Girls Club, located at 9021 Dayton Ave. in North Beach.
The theater is currently preparing to debut its latest show, “The Crucible,” a 1953 play by Arthur Miller dramatizing the 17th-century Salem witch trials. Performances will be held June 5, 12, 13, 14, 19 and 20. Tickets for “The Crucible” are available online.
“Peter Pan and Wendy” is slated for September. The theater plans to announce additional details on the show and the audition process soon. The play is the classic story of Wendy Darling, a young girl reluctant to grow up who travels to the magical world of Neverland with her brothers, with a boy and a fairy as their guides.
