Audrey Mae Abraham, 78, of California, Maryland, peacefully passed away at her home on July 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Born on April 24, 1948, in Washington, D.C., Audrey was the beloved daughter of the late James Landers Parrott and Mary Ethel (née Sydnor) Parrott.
On August 27, 1994, Audrey married the love of her life, George Michael Abraham Jr., in Bowie, Maryland. They met while both working at Bob Big Boys Restaurant. Together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and family. Their marriage was a testament to unwavering commitment and companionship.
Audrey dedicated much of her career as a bookkeeper for Giant Food, where she faithfully served for over 10 years before retiring. She was a proud graduate of Oxon Hill High School and spent most of her adult life in Southern Maryland.
Family was the center of Audrey’s life. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose kindness, strength, and generous heart touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, George Michael Abraham Jr.; her children, Tabitha Morgan, Ann “Marie” Thorne, James “Jim” Bentley, Jr., Jamie Bentley Zedek; her sister, Esther Newcomb (Tom); her grandchildren, Veronica Webb, Ray Morgan, Nicholas Morgan, James Ickes III (Ashley), Christopher Ickes (Sarah), Sharon Ickes, Ray Eberle Jr., Kevin Wayne Wilkinson (Katie), Courtney Zedek, Becca Zedek Smith (Dakota), Miriam Garrett, Lilly Bentley (Luke), Lexi Bentley Wilson (John), and James Bentley III; as well as 22 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
In addition to her parents James and Mary, Audrey was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Lozier, her sister-in-law Louise Fisher (Ron), and her beloved grandson, Tyler Morgan.
Family will receive friends for a Visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Rd. Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will take place at a later date at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Eberle, Jr., Chris Ickes, James Bentley III, Connor Goad, Sean Fisher, and Ronnie Fisher.
Audrey will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring nature, and the love she poured into her family throughout her life. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped raise and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and compassion.
