WALDORF, Md. – On June 16, 2021, at approximatelyย 7:00 p.m., Waldorf Volunteers and surrounding departments were called to “smoke coming from the building” at 44 Industrial Park Drive.

County Deputy Fire Chief 17A (Herbert) arrives a minute later confirming smoke from the building at the roof line. As fire suppression units from Waldorf 3/12 arrived, they advanced hose lines into the structure encountered heavy smoke conditions throughout the building on the first and second floors.

While searching the building crews immediately located the fire in a small room located at the top of the stairs and heavy smoke damage throughout. Fire was controlled in ten minutes of dispatch, building was ventilated, overhaul.ย ย 

The crews quick attack kept fire from extending to other businesses. 57 Fire/EMS personnel were on scene including mutual aid from PGFD.ย No injuries have been reported.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene to conducted an investigation.
