Jamesia Y. Dennis
Lexington Park, MD— On Feb.23, St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy G. Mushchette responded to Liberty Street in Lexington Park for the report of a domestic assault.
When Mushchette arrived on the scene he made contact with the victim who advised, “he recently has ended his relationship with the defendant, Jamesia Y. Dennis, 21, of Lexington Park, however he is still living with her (Dennis) and their two children at in their apartment,” according to charging documents.
The victim advised he was in a vehicle at the apartment complex with a female friend talking when the Dennis appeared, and demanded he exit the vehicle before attempting to physically remove him by pulling.
According to charging documents, “during the altercation the victim advised Dennis punched him several times in the face area with a closed fist. The victim had visible signs of injury to his bottom lip from the altercation.
Dennis was arrested and transported to St.Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with second-degree assault.
Dennis at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Dennis faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and or a maximum fine of $2,500.
