UPDATE – Feb. 29, 11:45 a.m.
On Feb. 28 at 5:29 p.m., officers responded to the 8900 block of Turkey Hill Road in White Plains for the report of a motor vehicle crash.
A preliminary investigation showed the driver of a motorcycle was traveling south on Turkey Hill Road when he crossed the center line and was struck by a Ford Expedition which was traveling north.
The driver of the motorcycle, Eric Donnell, 42, of Bel Alton, was transported to the Charles Regional Medical Center (CRMC) where he died upon arrival. The driver of the Expedition was transported to CRMC with non life-threatening injuries.
PFC. C. Collins of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
Update Feb.28 7:19 p.m.
According to a tweet on Charles County Sheriff’s Office, “CCSO is investigating a fatal crash in the 8900 block of Turkey Hill Road, in the area of White Plains, MD.”
According to a spokesperson for Charles County Sheriff’s Office, “a young male was traveling south on Turkey Hill Road while driving his motorcycle when he may have crossed the yellow center line striking an oncoming SUV.”

Injuries are reported as a result of this motor vehicle accident.
