On September 3, 2011 deputies responded to a disturbance in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Investigation revealed the victim was engaged in a dispute with a relative of Kerry Lynn Christensen Fowler, 37 of Mechanicsville, Maryland. Once the dispute ended Fowler went looking for the victim to confront him about the earlier dispute. Fowler located the victim at a local gas station in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. The victim and Fowler became engaged in a verbal dispute over the earlier incident. Fowler retrieved a shotgun from her vehicle and pointed at the victim and then struck the victim with the shotgun. Fowler was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault.
