UPDATE – White Plains, MD – Charles County authorities reported a motor vehicle crash shortly before midnight Wednesday, Feb. 15. The crash occurred on Crain Highway (US Route 301) between Billingsley Road and Demarr Road. Reports from the scene indicate at least one motorist was flown via Maryland State Police (MSP) helicopter to a regional trauma center. The road was closed to traffic for over an hour.
No further details on the incident have been released at this time. A spokesman at the MSP barracks in La Plata said Trooper Lowe is handling the ongoing investigation.
