CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of a Chesapeake Beach woman who loved ones describe as the “heart” and “backbone” of her family.
Amanda Regan, 37, is being remembered for her constant presence, quiet strength, and dedication to those around her, especially her husband and two children. She tragically passed away in a crash on April 14, 2026.
“Amanda was the kind of person who made a house feel like home,” organizers wrote in a GoFundMe created in her memory. “She showed up every day with love, strength, and quiet dedication—keeping life moving, lifting others up, and making sure her family was cared for in every possible way.”
Those who knew her say she was also deeply generous, often putting others before herself and stepping in whenever help was needed.
In the wake of her passing, family members are now facing both overwhelming grief and the many day-to-day responsibilities she carried so seamlessly.
The fundraiser aims to help ease that burden, covering needs such as childcare, home maintenance, and other household expenses as the family takes time to grieve and begin to rebuild.
Visitation for Regan will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 22 at Life Church Calvert in Huntingtown, followed by a service at 12 p.m. A celebration of life is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort in Chesapeake Beach, where family members have asked attendees to wear color in honor of her vibrant personality and love of life.

As the community continues to rally around her loved ones, organizers say every contribution and share helps provide stability during an incredibly difficult time.
