At 1:52 a.m. April 21, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown barrack stopped a vehicle on Route 235 at Town Creek Drive, California, for having an inoperable tag light.

Upon contact with the driver, Richard Emanuel Guy, 21, of Lexington Park, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected.

When advised about the odor, Guy handed TFC Linger a partially burnt marijuana โ€œroach.โ€ Guy was placed under arrest.

A search of the vehicle revealed a bag in between the front passenger seat and door which contained a ceramic smoking device with burnt marijuana. The passenger, 20, of Solomons, was arrested.

Both were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. They were taken to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
