On March 21 at 11:30 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers were called to investigate a robbery that occurred in the 3100 Block of Knolewater Court in Waldorf.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 22-year-old male, was walking on a path when two unknown suspects approached. One suspect punched the victim and the other suspect stole the victim’s iPOD, wallet and cell phone. Both suspects fled and the victim was treated at a nearby hospital. Officers conducted an extensive neighborhood canvass and developed information regarding the suspects’ descriptions.
Further investigation led to the identity of one of the suspects, a 17-year-old Waldorf male. Officers located the suspect at his residence and apprehended him after a brief foot chase. He was charged with robbery and theft. The second suspect has not been identified.
