CALVERT COUNTY, Md. – This past November, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Calvert County Detention Center put down the razors and for a cause that goes far beyond facial hair.
Our deputies proudly participated in No Shave November, setting aside traditional grooming standards to raise awareness and funds for a program close to our hearts: ‘Calvert County’s Shop with a Cop’.
Every dollar raised went directly toward providing children in need with a joyful holiday shopping experience alongside local law enforcement. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of our Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center personnel we are proud to announce a combined donation of $3,450.00.
These funds will help ensure that dozens of local children can shop for gifts, clothing, and essentials this holiday season, all while building meaningful, positive connections with the officers who serve their community.
No Shave November proved that sometimes a little scruff can make a big difference.
