MARYLAND – In the most recent Senate polling between Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks (D) and former Governor Larry Hogan (R), Alsobrooks is leading by a double-digit margin in both polling and favorability. Public Policy Polling measured her support at 45% compared to Hogan’s 34%, with minor candidates receiving 5% support and less than 20% of voters remaining undecided.
Shortly before the primary, the same polling firm measured a nine-point lead for Alsobrooks, at 46% support to Hogan’s 37%. An Emerson College poll in May also had Alsobrooks ahead of Hogan, 48% to 38%.
Hogan, who has historically relied upon Democratic and independent voters to win statewide races, currently has the support of 15% of Democrats in this poll. Meanwhile, many conservative Republicans who are critical of aspects of Hogan’s record view him unfavorably in spite of the Trump endorsement.
“This is not a credible poll. It’s from a firm openly and directly affiliated with the Democratic Party. Outlets should not actively mislead their audiences by presenting it as anything but just another partisan messaging tool,” stated Hogan’s campaign.
Alsobrooks has consistently shown her support for upholding reproductive rights and has tied Hogan to former President Trump’s quest for a legislative majority in the Senate, while Hogan has focused on concerns regarding crime, taxes, and immigration. Alsobrooks has been endorsed by Vice President Kamala Harris (D), Governor Wes Moore (D), and national organizations Planned Parenthood and Higher Heights, while Hogan has been endorsed by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump (R), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), and former Judiciary Committee Chairman Bobby Zirkin (D).
“I’ve been a lifelong Democrat, and as a Democrat, I’m excited to vote and support and work for Larry Hogan for the United States Senate. He is exactly the leader we need,” Zirkin said in a statement for the “Democrats for Hogan” webpage.
“I encourage all of my fellow Democrats to really review the record of Governor Hogan. Look at things like fracking and criminal justice reform and cyberbullying, and the way that he was able to hold the line on taxes and still invest in things that are important like education and the Chesapeake Bay. The hyper-partisanship in Washington is not what we should expect from our leaders. If you believe that like I do, then I would encourage you to come out and support Larry Hogan for the United States Senate.”

Alsobooks has issues overseeing Prince George’s County. The county has homicides concerns, fire department and police under staff. The county has only one processing center for prisoners. When the county had two other locations (Oxon Hill & Hyattsville). Both center have been closed. All the police departments use one center in Upper Marlboro, county jail. Officers are tried up for hours. Allsobrooks has issues overseeing the county. How can be a Senetor when county is dealing major concerns that need attention NOW.
