AM Pierce & Associates announced today that Peter Williams has joined the company as Executive Vice President of their Navy Division.ย He will be based in Lexington Park, MD, and will be responsible for overall business performance and customer satisfaction for all of the companyโ€™s work in support U.S. Navy programs.ย Williams will be responsible for growth in the companyโ€™s Navy business portfolio and execution of current support to the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) at the Pentagon and to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) at Patuxent River and St. Inigoes.

Prior to joining AM Pierce & Associates, Williams was a General Manager for Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. and was responsible for the oversight of the systems engineering, flight test, and air vehicle survivability support provided to NAS Patuxent River acquisition programs.ย From October 2007 until February 2010, Williams was the Senior Vice President for Precise Systems, Inc., a service disabled veteran-owned small business also located in Lexington Park, MD.

From 1976 until 2007, Williams served in the U. S. Navy and attained the rank of Rear Admiral.ย His operational fleet experience included multiple F-14 fighter squadron tours and deployments; and the command of Fighter Squadron 143.ย Acquisition tours at the Naval Air Systems Command included Chief Engineer for the F-14 Program, Systems Engineering Department Head (AIR-4.1), and command of PMA 241, the Tomcat Program.ย

Upon attaining flag rank, Williams served as the Commander of the Navyโ€™s Aviation Depots and led a team of over 11,500 military and civilian personnel in the depot level repair and overhaul of all U. S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft. ย His next tour was as the Naval Air Systems Command Assistant Commander for Logistics and Industrial Operations, where he served as the head logistician for Naval Aviation. ย His final tour in the Navy was Program Executive Officer, Tactical Aircraft Programs, with the responsibility for a portfolio of five major defense acquisition programs.

A graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, Williams earned a masterโ€™s degree in Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
