Each year the Charles County Arts Alliance awards $1,000 scholarships to one outstanding graduating senior from each high school in Charles County who plans to continue studying the arts (performing, visual or literary) at a four-year college or university.
The completed application and all required documentation must be mailed to the CCAA office at PO Box 697, White Plains, MD 20695, in sufficient time to be received by noon on March 4, 2016.ย Applications may also be dropped off at the CCAA Office, located in the United Way House, 10250 La Plata Road (Rt. 488), La Plata, MD 20646, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Charles County Arts Alliance was founded in 1987 with the goal of stimulating,
promoting, encouraging, and providing recognition of the arts and the creative spirit in
Charles County, MD.ย For 29 years, the Arts Alliance has worked towards this
goal by providing a variety of events, workshops, and services designed to help Charles County artists and arts organizations succeed and thrive, including:ย the ArtsFest countywide festival, school and community grants, and the management of five public art galleries.
