On July 10 at approximately 4:31 a.m., officers responded to a store located in the 10000 block of Berry Road in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm.ย
Upon arrival, officers found the front door open and an ATM machine damaged. The building was searched for suspects or additional damage, but none were located.
While the officers were still on the scene, they heard an alarm coming from a carwash at a nearby shopping center.
Officers responded and found that the vacuum machines and a vending machine pried open. No suspects were located on the scene.
Surveillance footage from the location of the first alarm showed an older red Jeep Cherokee enter the parking lot from Berry Road and pull to the side of the building.
Two suspects, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans, and gloves, got out of the vehicle, approached the front door, and appeared to pull it open.
They entered the store and forced open the top of the ATM located next to the counter, but were unable to gain access to the ATMโs vault. The suspects left the store without taking anything. Officer M. Hunt and PFC R. Gass are investigating.
