Tammy Showalter has been a journalist in Southern Maryland’s Tri-County area for over 16 years. She is passionate about connecting with families and covering youth sports, recognizing how the sociology of sport impacts communities politically, relationally, economically, and spiritually. Tammy believes that gratitude toward God for one’s talents and abilities plays a meaningful role in personal success. Outside of reporting, Tammy enjoys worshipping with her church family in Great Mills, finding inspiration from 'All Things Home,' and spending quality time with her beloved Australian Shepherd, Treasure.
