WALDORF, Md. – Assault Wrestling Alliance (AWA) returns to Waldorf on March 30th with March Madhouse 3! This will be an action-packed show featuring Total Nonstop Action’s (TNA) Alexander Hammerstone in action, and AWA’s Commissioner, the Legendary Manager of Champions best known for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), Bill Alfonso!
Located at the Unique Sports Academy in Waldorf, the show will feature all of AWA’s stars including a battle royal to determine the first-ever AWA Women’s TV Champion.
Since 2021, AWA has been Southern Marylandโs premiere professional wrestling company, hosting many shows throughout the year and entertaining the local community.
AWAโs founder and owner, Don Dorsey, has always been a fan of pro wrestling. When COVID-19 hit, it inspired him to finally take that step to start his own promotion to help bring some positivity to the community.
Dorsey stated that he brought AWA to Southern Maryland to help entertain the kids in the community and give them something to do.
โThereโs not much here for kids to do in Southern Maryland,โ Dorsey told The BayNet. โIโm pro kids, families, and so forth. So, my goal was to bring it here locally and make it affordable for families who canโt afford to see WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) or AEW (All Elite Wrestling).โ
