Dep. Jeffrey Hardesty responded to Bayfront Park, also known as Brownie’s Beach, on Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach for a destruction of property call.
Victims reported that between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. on March 9, three vehicles had been spray painted with “CCD” on the doors and hood. Additionally, the sidewalk, porta-johns, a dumpster, picnic table, railing and brick wall were also painted with either “CCD” or “Calvert County Devils”.
The total amount of damage is estimated at $2500. A description of two white juvenile males was given to police by witnesses who observed them near the scene shortly before the damage was discovered. Other evidence was recovered at the scene.
