Charlotte Hall, MD — The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire early Thursday morning which destroyed a boat parked in Charlotte Hall. The fire on Gershwin Road caused $10,000 damage to a 1999 18-foot Sea Ray boat owned by Donald Long.
According to Deputy State Fire Marshal Caryn McMahon “a private ambulance company discovered (the) fire and alerted the owner.” The report was called in at 3:48 a.m. Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded and five firefighters put out the fire.
