On Feb. 4, St. Mary’s County BCI detectives placed additional charges on Charles C. Butler, 34 of Lexington Park, who was arrested on Feb. 2 and currently incarcerated for a burglary at the Cut Rate Tobacco and Liquor Store in Lexington Park.
Detectives charged him with armed robbery, two counts of robbery, two counts of theft, first and second-degree assault, and accessory before the fact. The charges were a result of his involvement in the Jan. 26 robbery of a 33-year old male, who was in his car in front of the Donut Connection in Lexington Park and the Feb. 1, armed robbery of a cab driver on Card Road in Lexington Park.
Butler remains incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. The investigation continues into both incidents.
