During the week of May 23 through May 29 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded to 1,883 calls for service throughout the community.ย ย 

CDS Violation

On May 25 at 6:50 p.m. DFC J. Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Prince Frederick Boulevard at Md. Rt. 231.ย  He found the driver, later identified as Joshua Joseph Yokley, 22 of Myrtle Beach, S.C., to be in possession of suspected drugs.ย  Yokley was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of Hydrocodone and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a digital scale.ย  Yokley was also arrested for driving on a suspended license and an open arrest warrant through the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

Destruction of Property

Someone caused $2000 worth of damage to a hayfield on Huntingtown Road overnight between May 26 and 27 when they drove on it creating a โ€œdoughnutโ€ like pattern.ย  Dep. Y. Bortchevsky is investigating.

Theft

Unknown suspect(s) stole a 14 foot red and orange kayak and a 12 foot red and orange kayak, together valued at $1100, from behind a home on Monterey Road in Lusby sometime between April 23 and May 28.ย  Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. A. Mohler at 410-535-2800.
