PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Rotary Club of Calvert County is looking for vendors to participate in its community showcase this fall.

The club is hosting the event Sept. 12 from 7 a.m. to noon on the North Beach Boardwalk. According to the group’s Facebook post about the event, they’re looking for businesses, nonprofits and organizations to participate in the event.

“We are bringing together change-makers, businesses, emergency services, and more to map out a stronger support network for our residents,” the Rotary Club wrote in a Facebook post about the event.

The event is a way for businesses to network, promote their services and give back to the community, and the club will offer a few limited free vendor spots. In particular, the Rotary Club is looking for the following participants:

  • Firehouses & First Responders: Fire safety, recruitment, and station resources.
  • Addiction & Recovery: Mental health, local rehab, and AA/NA networks.
  • Housing Stability & Advocacy: Emergency shelter and diverse ability support (like Project ECHO & The Arc).
  • Food Security: Local food pantries and community meal programs.
  • Veterans & Military: Healthcare, benefits, and career transitions for local heroes.
  • Professional Skills: Career mentoring, financial literacy, and adult education.
  • Homeowners: Real estate insight, utility assistance, and weatherization.
  • Family & Childcare: Resources for parents, youth development, and after-school care.
  • Pet Adoptions: Connecting rescue animals with loving homes.
  • Local Commerce: Storefront promotions, coupons, and live demonstrations.

The Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a global network of business, professional and community leaders that volunteer time and services to tackle local, national and international issues. The club meets regularly online and in person.
