The Calvert County Board of Education decided at its Dec. 11, meeting that Calvert County Public Schools will be closed for students on January 20, 2009, for the Presidential Inauguration.
The day will become a professional development day for all employees.
In exchange, students will be required to attend school on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. This was previously a non-student day.
