PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert County’s Planning Commission and Environmental Commission will host a special joint meeting to discuss proposed data center conditions and host a public comment opportunity.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at the County Administration Building, 150 Main St., Prince Frederick, according to an emailed statement from Calvert County officials.

This meeting will be held before the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting. The joint meeting will include a presentation of the Environmental Commission’s recommendations regarding proposed data center conditions, followed by an opportunity for public comment.

According to the statement, residents are “encouraged to participate” in the public comment period. Speakers will be limited to two minutes for individuals and five minutes for designated representatives of a group or organization. Public comment will be accepted in person, by telephone or virtually. After the joint meeting, the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting will begin. Items on the agenda are: action on the Westside on Main conceptual site plan, preliminary subdivision applications, and a discussion of a proposed text amendment related to data center conditions and other administrative items.

The meeting will be streamed on the county’s YouTube channel or on Meetings on Demand. Residents can also watch the meetings on Comcast channels 99 and 1070.
