Annapolis, MD – Police in Annapolis report the arrest of a man on burglary and theft charges stemming from an incident that occurred at a neighbor’s residence Thursday evening, Sept. 1. The suspect, identified as Robert Louis Hannon, 70 of Annapolis, was reportedly captured on a motion-activated camera inside his neighbor’s home on Severn Avenue. The incident allegedly occurred shortly before 10 p.m.
Various news sources reported that Hannon was the head of Anne Arundel County’s Economic Development Corporation. Police have confirmed that the surveillance camera recorded Hannon rifling through his neighbor’s lingerie drawer.
A warrant was obtained for Hannon’s arrest and, according to a court summary, he was charged Sept. 2 with first-degree burglary, a felony; two counts of fourth-degree burglary and one count of theft less than $100. Hannon is currently free on $100,000 bond.
No court date has been set at this time. Hannon is being represented by attorney Peter O’Neill.
