ย A pair of men in a car goingย 115 mph went flying past Troopers with radar guns on Route 235 near Pegg Road in Lexington Park at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning.
ย Seconds later, before police even began to pursue, the driver lost control and slammed into a power pole in front of Park Dodge.
ย The car was nearly sliced in half, and the pole was snapped like a matchstick, with the top left hanging from the wires.
ย Both men were trapped in the car and had to be cut free by volunteer firefighters. One of the men was reportedly 25 years old.
ย Two Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulances took the men to St. Maryโs Hospital.
