On Thursday, September 29, 2011, at approximately 4:45 pm, there was a report of an auto accident on Stinnett Road. The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance (Co. 6) responded to the call and found a single vehicle that had gone off the road, down into the woods, and struck a tree.   Also on the call were Rescue Squad (2) Prince Frederick and Ambulance (4) Prince Frederick, because Rescue Squad (6) was already out on another call at the time.  There was the driver and a small child in the car.  The child was pulled out quickly, but because the doors were jammed, it took a little longer to get the driver out. Both were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital by Ambulance 6 and they were both boarded and collared for transport.
