WASHINGTON, D.C. – Recently, members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) attended the 2024 Annual Candlelight Vigil for National Police Week, joining law enforcement agencies from across the country. This occasion is dedicated to remembering the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
During the event, the CCSO Honor Guard provided support to the families of fallen officers, offering a gesture of solidarity during the time of reflection.

“As we stood with the families, friends, and colleagues of these officers, we were reminded of the profound courage and dedication that defines law enforcement. The vigil was a tribute to those we’ve lost and a powerful reminder of the enduring spirit and commitment of all who wear the badge,” stated CCSO.
“We are humbled and privileged to be part of this sacred event, standing together to remember and honor those who gave everything to keep us safe.”
