At 1:14 a.m. Oct. 19, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 19500 block of Lariat Place in Waldorf for the report of an attempted motor vehicle theft.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old Waldorf man, heard his vehicle’s alarm, went to the front door to investigate and observed three suspects tampering with the vehicle.
As the victim exited his front door, the suspects fled to a vehicle parked nearby. One of the suspects fired a shot at the victim, which struck the interior of the home. The suspects fired two more rounds, which struck a vehicle parked at another residence, and fled the scene.
They are described as black males wearing all black clothing and black Northface jackets. The vehicle is described as a dark blue Nissan Maxima with no hubcaps.
