Teen Driver With Marijuanaย
At 7:10 p.m.ย on April 26, at Rt. 4 in Owings, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.ย A K-9 scan by Deputy Smith, CCSO, led to the recovery of suspected marijuana and CDS paraphernalia in the vehicle.ย
Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Jacob Merit Allen, 19, of Prince Frederick.ย After processing by TFC Lass, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
Suspended Driver With Bag of Coke
At 3:32 a.m.ย on May 3, on Rt. 2/4 inย Huntingtown, TFC Whipp stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.ย
The operator, Rodney Leroy Chase, Sr., 34, of Prince Frederick, was found to be driving on a suspended license.ย A K-9 scan by TFC Murphy led to the recovery of a baggie of suspected cocaine in the vehicle.ย
Mr. Chase was then charged with possession of cocaine.ย After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

Drunk Driver Without Headlights Also Carrying Pot
At 1:04 a.m. on April 24ย Dep. Michael A. Jones was given instructions to lookout for a possibly intoxicated driver at the St. Leonard Fast Stop.
Dep. Jones observed the vehicle, a blueย two-door Toyota SUV, driving on Long Beach Drive in St. Leonard without any headlights on.ย
The vehicle crossed the double yellow solid line twice and the solid white shoulder line two times.ย Dep. Jones then conducted a traffic stop.ย
The driver, Kristopher B. Olson, 26, of College Park, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from him.ย Olson failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.ย
A search incident to arrest revealed two smoking devices and suspected marijuana in the vehicle.ย Olson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.ย
Stolen Tags and a Bag of Greenย
At 2:34 a.m. on April 19,ย on Rt. 2/4 inย St. Leonard, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.ย
A computer check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen by the PG County Police Department.ย
Arrested at that time for theft were Brandon Adrian Richards, 26, of Bowie, and Antoine Marquis Thomas, 27, of Lanham.ย
Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.ย The two were then charged with possession of marijuana.ย
After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโs hearing.
Another Driver Carrying Marijuana
At 1:40 a.m. on April 22, Officer R. Kimble conducted a traffic stop on Route 301 near Jefferson Farm Place in Waldorf.
Investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, Kaneesha Lanie Coates, 28, of Bryans Road was in possession of marijuana.
