St. Mary’s City, MD — Historic St. Mary’s City will host May Day festivities on Saturday, May 7  from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Celebrate spring with the colonists! There will be a special appearance by the Foggy Bottom Morris Men, who will give lively performances at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Have the talented Lauren Muney create an original iconic silhouette for you or your family with her Silhouettes by Hand.  Whether it’s in an engaging take on the Tortoise and the Hare, making a vine leaf garland, blowing bubbles, making your own fairy garden, or taking part in our annual dance around the Maypole there will be fun for all ages throughout the ages!

Bring a picnic and dine at river’s edge or purchase snack items from the museum’s Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary.  Admission is $10 for adults, $9 seniors, $6 students, and free for those 5 years and under and Friends members.
