On Saturday, June 18th, the Charles County Government went all out for their Green Expo.ย  People who pulled up to North Point High School were greeted with a festive array of kayaks, electric cars, bikes, recycle bins, plants, and document shredding stations.ย

Older sister, Andrea Bridgett is almost nine years old and said she originally didnโ€™t like science but has been working her hardest in science since third grade.ย  Their family is interested in recycling and all of the technology surrounding renewable energy.

Charles County Commissioner President Candice Quinn Kelly said โ€œYoung families are participating and thatโ€™s great because itโ€™s all about the kids.โ€ย  The expo planners obviously had kids in mind with kayak rides in the North Point pool, face paintings, card board cut outs to take pictures behind, samples of Ritaโ€™s ice and plenty of hugs on hand from the Chick-fil-A and Ritaโ€™s mascots.
