In follow-up to concerns raised by Nanjemoy residents during the March 2 community outreach meeting led by the County Commissioners, the Charles County Department of Health conducted water testing recently on Nanjemoy Creek.ย  At the meeting, several citizens suggested that water quality testing was needed for Nanjemoy Creek.

Two stream samples were taken on March 7 from an area off of the pier located at the end of Friendship Landing Road.ย  Results of the testing showed that the presence of E. coli bacteria in that area is within the acceptable limits established for natural bathing areas.
